Wonderful events sponsored by the Job Carr Cabin Museum
Each year the Job Carr Cabin museum board, staff and volunteers work hard to
provide exciting events that promote and preserve the history of Old Town and
Tacoma. In addition to our ever expanding education programs, we host the Annual
Tree Lighting at the Cabin, the Annual Old Town Walking Tour, and the
Annual Eureka Auction. New exhibits open quarterly to educate and entertain
persons of all ages who visit the cabin. Come join us!
Thank You from the Cabin!

A fune time had by all!
Our Pioneer Day Festival & Living-History Walking Tour was a great way to spend a
summer Sunday afternoon. Children and adults, alike, relaxed in the park as they took
part in a variety of activities and talked with artisans. It was home-grown entertainment
that couldn’t have happened without the support of the Russell Family Foundation and
all the help we had from our volunteers! Watch this space for a repeat performance
next year…

The Job Carr Cabin Museum has a brick sales drive
underway to support the operations of the museum
and the new exterior exhibit coming this fall. Should
you decide to purchase a brick, the names of those
you honor will be permanently displayed in the plaza
as a reminder of your support of the Job Carr Cabin
Museum and Old Town Tacoma. A plaza brick is
$100 for three lines, with up to 17 characters per
line. Bricks are inscribed two times per year.
You will be notified by mail when your brick is
complete. Stones in the Founder’s Circle begin at
$1,000.00. The museum has set a goal of selling 50
bricks this year. Consider making your name, or the
name of someone you love, a permanent greeting to
the thousands of visitors who come to the museum
each year! To order a brick, please call the museum
at 253-627-5405, or send an email to the museum
director at mbowlby@jobcarrmuseum.org.
