Breaking Molds and Building Community - Tacoma’s Founding Mothers. Living History w/ Karen Haas
Tacoma’s Old Town has a special sense of community that embraces strong individuals and for that, we can thank some of our earliest residents. Learn about three of them as Job Carr Cabin Museum presents Breaking Molds and Building Community - Tacoma’s Founding Mothers. Living History Performer Karen Haas will portray:
-Janet Elder Steele Fuller, builder and proprietress of Tacoma’s first hotel;
-Sarah Wolff, merchant’s wife, local philanthropist, and proud mother of a daughter with a very modern sense of ecumenism; and
-Rebecca Pitman Carr Staley, well-known for her ability as a “seer."
